THE AUTHOR
St. Philip Street - A New Orleans Story
A heartfelt journey through love, loss, and the enduring spirit of New Orleans. Born and raised in the 1950s French Quarter, Suzette grows up on St. Philip Street, surrounded by the soul of a city as vibrant and unique as her own story. While her mother works, Suzette attends Cabrini Nursery, never imagining how deeply it will shape her life.
As the years pass, she experiences the joys and heartbreaks of growing up, marriage, motherhood, illness, and the pursuit of a long-held dream: becoming a nurse. Through every step, questions about her father, the man she barely remembers, haunt her.
When a routine nursing assignment brings her face-to-face with a man she believes may be her father, Suzette’s world is turned upside down. What follows is a spiritual and emotional search for identity, healing, and home. From the historic streets of New Orleans to the halls of Cabrini reborn, this moving coming-of-age novel explores the power of faith, resilience, and the mysterious ways the past finds its way back.
